If I cite a case, and then I cite it again ( but the second time it is citing another case) do I use short form? What if I cite the same sentence of a case quoting another case twice? I've been using the long form just to be safe but I can't seem to find a definitive rule about this in the bluebook.|||I'd use short form.

If you are a law student, I would just ask the relevant teacher.
